Terms of Service

You may use Lesson Lab only if you can form a binding legal agreement and comply with applicable law. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for your login credentials, all activity conducted through your account and preventing unauthorised access. We may suspend or require additional verification where we reasonably suspect misuse, compromise or fraud.

Lesson Lab provides teacher-facing planning tools, including lesson generation, lesson revision, student-note preparation, resource workflows, account management and connected-service actions.

We may modify, improve, add or remove features from time to time. We may also set usage limits, plan restrictions or operational controls to maintain product quality, security and platform stability.

Paid features are offered on subscription terms described at the point of purchase or in your account. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing period until cancelled.

You authorise us and our payment processors to charge the applicable fees, taxes and renewals using your chosen payment method. You should keep billing and payment details current.

You may cancel future renewals before the next billing date through your account or by contacting support. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

We may change pricing or plan features from time to time. Where a material pricing change affects an existing paid subscription, we will aim to provide advance notice before the new price applies.

You must use Lesson Lab lawfully, responsibly and only for legitimate educational, administrative or business purposes connected to the service.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Lesson Lab, including prompts, lesson briefs, uploaded files and generated materials to the extent ownership can apply to them.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt and transmit your content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support and improve the service, enforce these terms and comply with law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content and instructions do not violate law or third-party rights, and that you have all permissions required to submit that content to Lesson Lab.

Lesson Lab may generate drafts, revisions, student notes, summaries, suggestions and other outputs using AI or automation. These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your intended purpose.

You remain solely responsible for deciding whether any output is appropriate for your classroom, school, organisation, legal obligations and educational context. You should review and adapt outputs before use, publication, presentation or distribution.

Lesson Lab may interoperate with third-party services such as Google account sign-in, analytics providers, payment processors or infrastructure providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to third-party terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their data practices or changes made by those providers. If an integration fails or is withdrawn, we may suspend or remove the related feature.

Lesson Lab, including its software, workflows, branding, user interface, documentation and related intellectual property, is owned by Brylabs Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by law.

Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are granted to you. You must not copy, resell, sublicense, distribute or exploit the service except as expressly permitted.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you breach these terms, create risk for the platform or other users, fail to pay applicable fees, or where suspension is reasonably required for security, legal or operational reasons.

You may stop using Lesson Lab at any time. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive will continue, including payment obligations, liability limitations, intellectual property, indemnity and dispute provisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lesson Lab is provided on an as available and as is basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate or suitable for every teaching context, school setting or compliance requirement.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where a guarantee or condition is implied by law and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the remedies available under that law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, data or anticipated savings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service or these terms is limited to the greater of the total fees you paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or A$100.

This limitation applies whether the claim is in contract, tort, statute, equity or otherwise, and even if we were advised that the loss was possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brylabs Pty Ltd, its related bodies corporate, officers, employees and contractors from losses, claims, damages, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your content, your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms or your violation of law or third-party rights.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email.

Your continued use of Lesson Lab after the updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. You and Brylabs Pty Ltd submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia for disputes arising out of or connected with these terms or the service.
